| Description: | Saturday’s drive will start from Louise Hays Park in Kerrville, Texas. We will park in the shade, under the bridge. 202 Thompson Drive Kerrville, TX 78028 This Park is located right off of SR 16. The BACK UP plan if there is an issue with the Park is the JC Pennys parking lot across the street on Thompson Drive. I am working on the timings this afternoon, but plan on the gathering to start either at 8 AM, or 8:30 AM, and more than likely pulling out at 9 AM sharp to maintain the all day schedule of driving. There are public restrooms at the park. Actually, I think we may just go up on the hill where the restrooms are and have our drivers briefing! We will have a pit stop before lunch for restrooms, and the group photo will be done BEFORE lunch this year on FM 336. Lunch will be at The Hog Pen BBQ in Leakey, TX. We’ve made this a lunch stop in the past and they seem a little quicker serving that the other venue we used last year. Please make sure you top off your fuel prior to the start. We will either stop for gas right after lunch, or will wait until after we make a loop around on FM 335. Once I have the route played out and mileage I can better say more on the fuel top off location. Please be mindful that we have older MINIs that don’t get the 1,000k miles of range on a single tank of gas! |
